SMRT has experienced tremendous growth in 2017. We are pleased to welcome four new additions to our electrical engineering practice.
A senior electrical engineer at SMRT, Lura Wade, PE, LEED AP BD+C has more than 10 years’ experience designing electrical systems for a variety of clients in commercial, education, government and healthcare markets. Lura is also a Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine.
Previously an independent facilities consultant, Todd Surette joins SMRT as an electrical designer with 25 years’ experience in electrical power and lighting design. Todd’s background includes conducting field investigations and working with facilities managers for medical, higher education, government and commercial clients throughout Greater Boston. He graduated from North Shore Community College with an Associate in Science.
For more than 20 years, senior electrical designer Russ Wolensky has been designing power, lighting and data systems for clients in the industrial, military, data center, life sciences and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors. As an electrical staff facilities specialist at GlobalFoundries, Russ supported the construction of their 300,000 s.f. Technology Development Center and FAB 8 lab expansion. Russ studied at the New York Institute of Technology and Alfred (NY) State College.
Elizabeth McGuoirk joins SMRT as an electrical designer. Elizabeth has designed electrical power and lighting systems in both new and renovated facilities. She recently earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where her community involvement activities included serving as committee chair for the Out of Darkness Walk, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.Back to News and Resources
