SMRT is pleased to welcome Rebecca “Becca” S. Casey, AIA, to its healthcare studio as senior healthcare architect. Becca brings more than two decades of experience to her new practice, the last 10 focusing on healthcare planning and design.
Becca has designed and managed projects ranging from campus master planning to new construction – and large-scale renovations of clinical spaces in between. She is a founding member of the Portland Society for Architecture and currently serves on the board of GrowSmart Maine. She further pushes the connection between public health and planning by volunteering on the PHiT (Public Health in Transportation) Coalition and Falmouth’s Long-Range Planning Advisory Committee.
A Candidate of the American College of Healthcare Architects, Becca is affiliated with the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health, the Maine Healthcare Engineers Society and the New England Healthcare Engineers Society. She is a founding member of the Portland Society for Architecture.
Becca holds a Master of Architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans – one of the first cities to deeply imprint her passions for sense of place, community, diversity and food.Back to News and Resources
